Jane Money
Jane is a personal-finance assistant you chat with on WhatsApp. Ask about your money in plain words, and Jane answers using the accounts you choose to connect.
What Jane does
- Answers questions about budgeting, saving, investing and tax.
- Reads statements and documents you send, such as a Form 16 or a bank statement.
- Helps you prepare and file your income-tax return.
- Shows your Zerodha portfolio and places an order after you confirm it, if you connect Zerodha.
- Sets reminders for bills and due dates you ask about.
Connecting Gmail (optional)
Most of your financial paperwork arrives by email: bank and credit-card statements, bills, broker contract notes, tax documents. If you connect Gmail, Jane can find and read these emails when you ask, for example "what's due on my credit card this month?" or "find my latest CAS statement", and summarise them for you in WhatsApp.
- You connect through Google's own sign-in page. Jane never sees your Google password.
- Access is read-only. Jane cannot send, delete or change your email.
- Your email is never sold, used for ads, or used to train AI models, and it is never sent to third-party AI services.
- Disconnect any time by telling Jane "disconnect Gmail", or from your Google account permissions.
Details are in our Google Data Use Disclosure and Privacy Policy. Jane's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
