How to cancel ICloud+ subscription and autopay

To cancel your iCloud+ subscription, open Settings, tap your name, select Subscriptions, tap iCloud+, and tap Cancel Subscription. Depending on your iOS version, you may need to open iCloud and choose Downgrade Options instead.

Steps to cancel ICloud+

  1. Open the Settings app, then tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions, then tap iCloud+ under Active.
  3. Tap Cancel Subscription.

Before you cancel

  • Refunds: Partial refunds are available where required by law. If you recently changed your plan, contact Apple within 14 days for a refund. Refund decisions take 24 to 48 hours.
  • Depending on your device's software version, steps may differ; on iOS 18 to 18.3, navigate via Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Plan > Downgrade Options, and on iOS 17 and earlier via Manage Account Storage > Downgrade Options.
  • The change takes effect after the current subscription billing period ends.
  • If you pay for both Apple One and an iCloud+ plan, you can downgrade or cancel the iCloud+ plan and use the one included with Apple One, which may require additional steps after choosing Change Storage Plan.
  • If your stored data exceeds your new storage plan capacity, iCloud will not sync or update information, and backups will not complete until you reduce storage or upgrade.

Paid through UPI AutoPay? Cancel the mandate too

Cancelling ICloud+ ends the membership. If you paid with UPI AutoPay, the mandate that lets ICloud+ debit your account is separate, and it lives in the UPI app you approved it in. Open that app’s AutoPay list and cancel the ICloud+ mandate as well.

Will I be charged again after cancelling iCloud+?

No further charges occur once cancelled. The change takes effect after your current billing period ends, and your storage adjusts at that time.

Can I get an iCloud subscription cancel refund?

How to cancel autopay for iCloud in my bank app?

Cancelling the subscription in Settings stops billing, but cancelling a membership and cancelling the UPI AutoPay mandate behind it can be separate steps. If you set up an automatic debit, check the mandates section in your UPI app or bank app to remove it.

What happens to my data after I cancel iCloud storage?

If your stored data exceeds your new storage capacity, iCloud will not sync or update information. New device backups will not complete until you reduce storage or upgrade.

How do I cancel iCloud+ if I already pay for Apple One?

You can downgrade or cancel the standalone iCloud+ plan and use the storage included with Apple One. This may require additional steps after selecting Change Storage Plan in your settings.
